Many residents using the Whitchurch Train Station (which is in the Rhiwbina Ward!) will be delighted to hear that the Council are planning to install a number of lighting columns in and around the area of the station. Last week officers made a start by doubling the lighting column on Ashgrove, therefore instantly giving more light to the stairs which people use on a regular basis.
After a successful site meeting this week with Council Officials I was told the good news. Officials are confident that the works will be completed around the end of September 2005. A big thank you to all concerned. This will really benefit so many people using the trains, and people using the area as a cut through from Ashgrove to Pen y Dre in Rhiwbina. If residents would like more information about the scheme, please let me know.
