Ready to Listen : Ready to Act

Cardiff Post Article June 2007

I was delighted to be invited to attend a special event to raise funds for a wonderful little girl called Isabelle, who wishes to attend a summer school at Craig y Parc School in Cardiff.  Isabelle, who suffers from cerebral palsy, is hoping to continue her studies in conductive education and needed to raise approximately £1500 to attend the summer placement.  If anyone would like to learn more about the fund for Isabelle, please contact me and I will pass on your details to one of the organisers.

The Rhiwbina Village Events Committee are staging a three week strong, event packed extravaganza inviting residents to attend a wide variety of events and entertainment in the forthcoming weeks.  For detailed information about events, please contact me for a brochure.  One of the key events is Festival Day on Saturday 7th July, starting from 10am.  There will be a number of stalls and side shows, songs from West End Shows, Dance Troops to name just a few!

Partnership and Community Together (PACT) Meetings occur regularly in each ward in Cardiff.  They are an opportunity for residents to meet both local police and their Councillors, raise issues of concern and ask the police and Council to prioritise them.  For details of the next meeting in your ward, please see posters in local shops or look at the South Wales Echo and Cardiff Post.  The next PACT Meeting in Rhiwbina is being held on Tuesday 10th July, starting at 7pm in Rhiwbina Primary School.

My ward colleague Adrian Robson and I are staging a Surgery and Juice Morning on Saturday 7th July outside Rhiwbina Library on Pen y Dre, between 10am – 1pm.  Please pop along for refreshments and a chat.
