Adrian was elected as a Councillor for Rhiwbina in 2004.

In 2006, he has sat on the Council's Planning Committee. In 2008 he was also appointed to the Economic and Culture Scrutiny Committee

Adrian is a Local Education Authority Governor at Rhiwbeina Primary School and Chairman of Governors at Llanishen Fach Primary School. He is also a Council representative on the Glamorgan Records Archive Joint Committee

Outside of politics, Adrian is a Member of Cardiff Speakers Club and along with Jayne Cowan, is honoured to be a patron of the Cardiff Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society.

Adrian has recently completed a degree in surveying at the University of Glamorgan.
